I’m in the middle of recapping our family vacation (and David’s birthday, and the end of summer, and, and, and, and, and…) but I’m taking a break from all that to post some photos from this week.
This week was normal, boring. We didn’t go anywhere or do anything. I even put off post-vacation grocery shopping. (We’ve been living off stale Cheerios and bad attitudes.) My house looks like it was hit by a tornado. Or actually, metaphor isn’t as strong as what actually happened: my house looks like it was hit by four children.
We’re determined to slow down and enjoy these last two weeks of summer. It’s been great.
The 52 Project — A photo of my children, once a week, every week, in 2019.
David / We got David a Minecraft Lego Crafting Box set for his birthday, and he’s been building and rearranging all week.
Mary / Mary set up a classroom and lined up her stuffed animals (ahem, Squishamals) and started teaching. These guys have a lot of schooling to catch up on after such a long vacation break.
Thomas / Back in his natural habitat.
Anna / David moved his Legos into the other room to get away from his little siblings who were grabbing his creations. Anna didn’t mind relocating with him.
Oh, and we did this. (Maybe “boring” was the wrong word to describe our week.)
