Semantics (the wildest, sweetest boy)

This morning I took Thomas and Anna outside. I was planning on cleaning out the garden and adding compost to the soil. I thought Thomas might like helping with raking and digging, but as soon as we went outside he and Anna immediately started playing on their own. That was fine, too, but I still wanted to invite them into my task.

Me: Hey, Thomas! I’m going to be working in the garden. Do you want to help me or do you want to play?

Thomas: Well you know I am Spiderman, I always help everyone.

I walked over Thomas and gathered him up in a hug.

Me: Thomas, don’t ever grow up, ok? Will you stay my sweet boy forever?

Thomas: Mommy, if you don’t want me to grow up YOU HAVE TO TELL GOD!
