We’ll probably forget a lot of David’s “firsts”. Things like first earthquake, first hurricane sort of fade as distant memories, don’t they? But some firsts stick.
Today marked the best day of David’s life thus far — his very first Hokie game day.
Virginia Tech – 66, Appalachian State – 13
And what a game it was. It was a great day for the Davids of the world, particularly David Wilson. Tom panicked when David was on the sidelines for a few snaps in the first quarter because he thought Wilson had been injured. Looking forward to a season of all David Wilson, all the time.
Also good to see Logan Thomas on the field (we considered naming David “Logan Thomas” for about 30 seconds. Depending on how he does, the name might be back in the running for baby #2).
Coincidentally, it was also the first time David wore a pair of pants.
David slept through most of the game, which was ok. It wasn’t much of a nail-biter.
Nothing like this game:
Is it just me, or does it sort of look like David’s wearing an orange cheer leading skirt?
…just imagine a pompom in that waving hand.
[…] remember David’s first game […]
