The 52 Project A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2019.

David / Just prepare now for an entire year of pictures of David reading. And eating apples. And sitting symmetrically on the couch. (He’s reading Prince Caspian here. Since I took this photo he moved on to Voyage of the Dawn Treader.)

Mary / It’s important to me to have art supplies available to the kids. They have easy access to markers, paper, crayons, and glue. I bought these paint markers for Thomas, but Mary loved them. She filled the table with drawings, then the entire room, and eventually her art was spilling out into the yard and onto the street.

Just kidding.

Sort of.

Thomas / Just for context, I’d like you to know that the kids aren’t allowed in my bed at any time of day or night. I find him in my bed, under the covers, tangling up the sheets, and leaving crumbs on my pillow at least twice a day. But I guess he knew that if he pretended to read Goblet of Fire I’d let him stay there a little longer. Just enough time for me to go grab my camera, that is.

Anna / You know it’s going to be bad when you hear the three-year old say, “ANNA! You’re making such a mess!”
