Spring won’t officially be here for a couple of weeks, but is sure feels like spring. And all this sunshine does a world of good.

A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2016.
10-52 1

All three of them / On the first warm day of the season, I re-introduced our children’s third parent: the water table. Thirty seconds in and Thomas already prefers it to either Tom or me.

10-52 2

David / I told him he couldn’t spray anyone unless they want to be sprayed. Mary Virginia doesn’t want to be sprayed, I don’t want to be sprayed, and Thomas doesn’t want to be sprayed. With no other options, David gleefully sprayed himself in the face.

10-52 3

Mary Virginia / The kids weren’t allowed to come inside until they let me clean them off. Mary Virginia is showing me that her hands are clean. Never mind her face, arms, clothes, and the entire rest of her body.

Thomas / Thomas wants you to know that he picks Virginia Tech to win the ACC and then sweep the entire NCAA tournament. Because Hokies always believe. Let the madness begin.

I love love love your documentation of Mary Vrginia’s consistency with her choice of shirt! I keep thinking we went through an “always shirt” at some point but I didn’t document and I can’t remember now.
