Liftoff

We don’t use our dryer. It’s one of those weird things I picked up from my parents, and Tom goes along with it because not using the dryer saves money.

In addition to saving money, using a clothes line is one of those simple things you can do to live a greener lifestyle. Hanging our clothes outside keeps us from using the dryer, which saves electricity, and it’s easier on your clothes. Plus, hanging up clothes is better exercise than just pitching them in the dryer.

You can hang clothes outside all year long – clothes will dry just as well in the winter as they do in the summer.

I also love it because getting clothes on the line is another reason for me to spend the morning outside with David.

Whenever I go out to the clothes line, David sits in his very own clothes basket and plays with clothes pins.

Until recently.

Have YOU ever tried to stand up from a cross-legged position?

It’s not easy.

favorite pictures ever!!! one of these days i will get a line up. i miss the smell of sun-dried sheets. right now, the thought of hauling all the laundry up and down the stairs just seems far too daunting.

Good for you! We used to do all our drying outside, but in Houston somedays it’s too hot or humid to even hang them out, how sad does that sound? Adorable pics of D. 🙂 There’s something cute about a frustrated baby, poor guy!
