Mary Virginia Krieger
Born right on time, at 10:53 am on June 7, 2013, her due date.
7 lbs., 8 oz., 19 inches.
She was born with a full head of black hair, which is why, when they handed her to me, I looked at the doctor and said, “Um. I think I gave birth to the wrong baby.”
Mary Virginia shares her brother’s penchant for natural disasters; she was born in the middle of Tropical Storm Andrea.
This little girl already has strong opinions. She has remarkable style, and an impeccable sense for up and coming bands. She also has no interest in Oprah’s diet, which says you shouldn’t eat after 7 p.m. She prefers to nurse non-stop between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. When she’s not eating, she’s working on a screenplay for Michael Moore to expose the injustice of it all.
Our whole family is sleepy, but also very, very thankful. We see another reminder of God’s goodness and faithfulness to us in the arrival of our little girl.
We appreciate all the messages, visits and well-wishes. It’s helpful to know we have such an amazing circle of family and friends who are along for the ride, and it warms this mama’s heart to know our new little lady is already so well-loved.
“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
Psalm 100
She’s perfect in every way. I’m so happy for you all. Love her and love you. :*)

I noticed she has on a new outfit for her debut on your blog. She is so special. I see a Krieger resemblance in Mary Virginia with David Andrew standing beside her. I can’t believe she has more hair than her brother.
[…] Writing the last part of a birth story is tricky, because everyone already knows the ending. […]
