A bit of input from the props department

A few weeks ago (and, wow, looking at these photos I can’t believe how much bigger she’s gotten in those few weeks) during David’s nap I dressed Mary Virginia in an outfit with ruffles and ribbons to take a photo for her birth announcement.

I planned on waiting until she fell asleep and then arranging her like one of those babies in an Anne Geddes photo, but she wasn’t having it. Every time I put her down she was like nuh uh, no way, not today woman.

Eventually she fell asleep and we got a good photo, but the whole thing took a lot longer than I thought it would, so by the time David woke up from his nap we were still taking photos.

David took one look and his head almost exploded with disbelief and excitement. Is this…? I think it is…? It IS! ANOTHER SURFACE TO USE FOR LINING UP TRUCKS!!

And then he got to work like, Mom, if I’d known this was a possibility she would have had monster trucks on her A LONG TIME AGO.
