Liftoff (for real this time)

A few days ago I walked out of the room, and when I came back I saw this.

David doesn’t pull up often, and I think it’s because of his modified crawling style.  If he was up on all fours, it’d be easier to rock back on his knees and use his legs to pull up on things. But since he’s on his belly, when he tries to pull up, the higher he pulls himself with his arms, the more it arches his back and WAHHHH!

See that spray bottle at his feet? We don’t usually let him play with it, and I left it on the speaker.

When strangers who know my baby better than me see him crawl, they say, “he’ll figure it out eventually.” But here’s the thing: David’s been doing this for almost three months. He has figured it out. He gets up on all fours all the time, but he seems to prefer his dragging method.

He gets a LOT dirtier dragging his body around, and I’m not counting that out as the reason he does it.

Because not only does it mean more laundry for me, but it means that the next time we come to your house, we can take one look at David’s onesie and tell exactly how clean your floors are.

David Andrew’s shirt looks pretty clean! And look how proud he is! No doubt he loves that speaker.
